We offer opportunities to create experiences and connections between individuals and communities of cities that share similar characteristics with our city, facilitating mutual understanding, cooperation, growth, and promoting peace.
HOW WE DO IT
California has the largest amout of communities with Sisiter Cities parterships in the US (382 of the 500).
NBSCA established its first relationship in 1984 and currently has 5 partnerships.

YAAS~Young Artists and Authors Showcase

Is an International Art Contest for children between 13 and 18 years old, that encourages youth worldwide to express the mission of Sister Cities International base on a specific theme. The theme varies each year and the works are judged base on originality, composition and theme interpretation.

The categories are:
Painting, Photography, Film, Essay and Poetry.

Our School District with the participation of Art and Language Art teachers at our local schools, help us promote the contest.

Selected Grand Prize Winners in each category (art, literature, and photography) win a $1000 prize. After the finalists for art, literature, film, and photography have been announced, their works are displayed in Sister Cities around the U.S. in a year-long tour
